About St Croix

 

St Croix is the largest of the United States Virgin Islands (28 miles long x 7 miles wide.) The population is approximately 50,000 of which the east end of the island (where Palm Villa is located) is a population of 2,500. There are many places to see and things to do in St Croix. These include:

 

Points of Interest:

  • Point Udall on the East End of St Croix is the easternmost point in the United States. Visit the monumnent and enjoy a truly memorable sunrise
  • Buck Island Reef National Monument: A small island off the East End of St Croix that is protected by the National Park Service and is one of the best reef’s to snorkel in St Croix. Take a catamaran ride from St Croix to this beautiful island and spend the day.
  • Visit the Annaly Bay Tide Pools, a unique formation made by lava that created these interesting pools teeming with interesting ocean life
  • Cruzan Rum Factory and the Captain Morgans Rum Factory Tours- See how these world famous rums are made and enjoy free samples!
  • Visit the Mt Pelier Domino Club- home of the famous Beer Drinking Pigs and sample the local alcoholic concoction called Mama Wanna

  • Kayaking- Enjoy open ocean kayaking or visit Salt River Bay for a nightime bioluminescense tour where millions of single cell ocean creatures light up when the water is stirred 
  • Beaches- The Reef Beach is right across the street from Palm Villa and so many more beautiful beaches are on St Croix that you could visit a different one every day during your trip and never go to the same one twice
